Remanipulating Colles´ fracture may improve the dorsal angulation in patients under 60 years of age but not in those over 60.
Several clinical surgical studies ( , , ) have studied the results of remanipulating Colles' fractures that have redisplaced after primary reduction. In those over 60 years old, remanipulation seems to fail to achieve a lasting improvement in position, while the majority of those under 60 years maintain a significant improvement in dorsal angulation.
