One RCT in the review reported seizure frequency and found that a 2-day educational programme reduced the frequency of seizures at 6 months compared to waiting list (19.0% vs 7.2% achieving a 2 point reduction in seizure frequency on a 6 point scale. The systematic review and the quasi-randomized trial found that educational programmes increased knowledge and reduced anxiety and depression.
Comment: The quality of evidence was downgraded by imprecise data and heterogeneity in interventions and outcomes.
