Goserelin is injected subcutaneously as an implant (10.8 mg) every 3 months for the treatment of prostate cancer. Clean the skin, remove the shields, insert the needle under the skin, and hold in place while pressing the piston of the syringe to the bottom. Let the spring retract the needle while the mandrine keeps the implant in place.
