Naevus sebacheus (Jadassohn) is not uncommon on the scalp area. It is congenital, is free of hair and usually does not produce any subjective symptoms. It is advisable to excise it at the latest in adolescence, because it tends to develop malignancies (especially basal cell carcinoma) in 10% of cases in adulthood.
