A 48-year-old man had a one-week history of back pain and pain radiation to the right leg. Two days before the video was recorded peroneal weakness and paraesthesia on the lateral aspect of the calf, on the dorsal side of the foot and big toe developed. The sensibility of the skin was normal on the lateral side of the foot and heel. The extension of the foot and toes is very weak on the right side. The extension is also weaker than normal on the left side, but this was and old sign resulting from Guillain-Barre syndrome several years ago. MRI revealed a presacral herniated disk that bulged upwards and to the right side. During a follow-up of one year the peroneal function slowly improved, but some weakness remained.
