Pustulosis (palmo) plantaris is a chronic, difficult-to-treat dermatosis of unknown origin. Some authors believe it to be one subtype of psoriasis, others see it as a separate entity. Bursts of turbid pustules, even purulent lakes, are typical. In therapy topical corticosteroids, calcipotriol, and emollients are beneficial. Often, however, oral corticosteroids, tetracyclines, retinoids, or cyclosporin-A may be necessary.
