The nasolabial fold is one of the typical sites for seborrheic dermatitis, common especially in elderly men and patients with neurological diseases. Usually only mild corticoids are needed to control the symptoms. Alternatively, ketoconazole cream may be tried. This therapeutic modality is based on the theory that Pityrosporum yeast participates in the aetiology of this dermatitis.
