A 40-year-old man had increasing pain behind the heel during excercise, and tenderness on both sides of the insertion of the achilles tendon. Ultrasonography shows a hypoechogenic area at the angle of the achilles tendon and the calcaneus. Aspiration was unsuccessful. Methylprednisolone and bupivacain was injected into the retrocalcanear bursa.
