- Human chorionic gonadotrophin might not be effective for preventing further miscarriage in women with a history of unexplained recurrent miscarriage compared with placebo or no treatment, although the evidence is insufficient .
- Cervical cerclage appears not to reduce pregnancy loss and preterm delivery rates in women at low or medium risk of mid trimester loss .
Cervical cerclage appears to reduce the incidence of preterm birth compared with no treatment in women at risk of recurrent preterm birth, without statistically significant reduction in perinatal mortality or neonatal morbidity .
Aspirin or anticoagulants may not be effective for the treatment of recurrent pregnancy loss in women with or without antiphospholipid syndrome .
There is insufficient evidence on the effects of bed rest in the prevention of miscarriage. .Routine councelling after a miscarriage may not be effective for improving psychological well being .
